I didn't have time before this to do it and thought that it could also be used for a Christmas table centerpiece with the word Santa or Merry Christmas.
I saw this craft in Parents Magazine Turkey Day Table Centerpiece and adapted to Chase and Cody's abilities . It turned out cute.
What I did was found letters on the Internet that were colorable that I printed out. Chase and Cody colored them.
I then traced a circle on different colored construction paper and they cut out the circle.
We did this over a few weeks because they would get tired of cutting out circles and coloring it.
I cut out the colored letters and they pasted them on the circle spelling out the words;
Happy Thanksgiving
He is the finished result at home.
I had the boys glue straws to the back of the circle to make them stand up. We used red paper cups and dirt from the desert to put this in as the centerpiece of our table.
Here are the kids filling up the cups with dirt. It really kept them busy and out of the way while we were getting the last of the dinner prep ready. You don't have to use dirt but you could also use beans.
I hope this gave someone an idea for there Christmas table centerpieces.
