Writer's Workshop

When I went to find out the writer prompts for this weeks writing assignments, I wanted to do a couple of them. They just popped out at me saying please write about me! You can check out the assignments here:

The Prompts I will write about are

1) A song you can’t escape.(inspired by Stefanie from I’m not much into health food, I am into champagne)

It all has to do with the little (or big) mouse that likes to hang around on my tv all day (if I let him).
Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot diggity dog,
Hot dog! (Hot dog)
Hot dog!Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
Now we got ears, it's time for cheers

Hot dog, hot dog, the problem's solved
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog

It's a brand new day
Whatcha waiting for?
Get up, stretch out, stomp on the floor

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
We're splitting the scene
We're full of beans
So long for now from Mickey Mouse (That's me!)
And the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

2) Explain a time there was an emergency. What “mode” did you go into? Freaking out, calm and collected, etc.(inspired by Jennifer from Momma Made It Look Easy)
My emergency was is the time about 2 years and a few months ago, that we had to evacuate our house due to a huge brush fire coming through the county. I think I did over all very well, I knew I had about an hour, after we got home from the desert, to get all of our important papers and clothes, load the car and motorhome and leave. I also had (2) 18 month old boys to look after and keep safe. I think inside my head I was scared but I don't think I showed it on the outside. I just kept with the task at hand getting out of my house and leaving that I didn't think about the whole picture of my house might being burnt down. There was a bunch of emotions throughout the 5 days that we were out of our house, but mostly I was in the survival mode. Our house made it through the fire and I was made a stronger person throughout the ordeal.
3.) Write an open later to a cartoon character.
Okay, so I thought I would write a letter to my sons favorite person right now...(can you guess who that is?) Mickey Mouse
Dear Mickey Mouse,
I love how you are teaching my sons so much stuff on your tv show, from counting to ABC, to shapes its all good, but your sqeakey little voice can gets to me after show (the same show) over and over again. I love how you are always so sweet to Pete even though he is just so mean to you. And the songs that you sing in your cartoons, they are all just so awesome, that I sing along with you after I have heard them several times. If you could have more pluto cartoons, my sons would love that. They love pluto!
I like how you and your cartoons, give me 25 minutes of sweet silence, except for you sqeacky voice, all to myself, so Thank you! You are the best cartoon character that a mom could want her sons to have a total crush on (well actually, they love Minnie and Pluto but you are included in that also). Thank you Mickey Mouse!
Monica
I guess I had a lot of write about today on the writing prompts! I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I liked writing about it!

Way Back When-sday

This is Cody taking a bath.

The reason behind this picture this week is that Cody's favorite song right now is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse "Pluto's Bubble Bath" Song. Which goes something like this:

"When your in a bubble and you are floating along
singing dibble dabble dibble and floating along!"

This is while Mickey Mouse and Pluto is in a bubble in the air floating along.

He loves this song and also wants a bubble bath. We haven't done a bubble bath in a long time and he has requested me to get at the store some bubble bath so he can take a bubble bath like Pluto!
