Tumbling

In April, Chase and Cody started a tumbling class. The class had only 3 session left and I wanted to see if they would like it. Our friends, Grace and Spencer was in the class also. The 4 of them had a blast together doing somersaults and head stands.

The best part is the free time where there is like an obstacle course with a trampoline, balance beam, tunnel, back bend stuff, jumping things and the cheese wedge for doing somersaults. They kids just run around and have a good time doing what they want!

Chase and Cody really like the balance beam. They get on it and can walk forward and backwards, stand on one foot and kick with the other foot, do dip downs and jump off!

Int he beginning of the class, Mrs. Jill, warms up the kids by doing fun exercises to music. They boys really think it is fun!

Shaky fingers and popping fingers is one of the warm up songs.

After those 3 classes were over, Grace and Spencer, couldn't go to the next session, but Cash and Jack could so now we are doing 6 sessions of the same thing and having just as much fun!!
I don't think either of them will be Olympic gymnastic stars, but for the time it fun to take them and they go to sleep early that night because they are super tired!

Birthday Presents

When Grandpa and Grandma's Jonas' birthday present comes to our front door is it so exciting that Chase and Cody can not wait to open it!!

Grandma Carol always picks out some super cool toys for them.

Chase was so excited to get this transformer figure!

An action figure for Cody the action man!!

This remote control quad riding guy was the best! They are having the best time using the remote control and the quad dude. When he crashes or flips over it's the best - according to Chase and Cody.

They also got an air hog helicopter thing!
They made out from their Grandma and Grandpa Jonas!! Thank you!

Vegetable Cars

Back in March, the letter of the week was V. Chase and Cody's teacher, Miss Sarah, thought of a cute way to incorporate vegetables into the cooking session on that Wednesday.
She gave everyone a piece of celery, some cream cheese, raisins, carrots cut into circles, and toothpicks. She had everyone assemble the cars. Chase and Cody had so much fun doing this. I guess the only part that they needed help doing was putting the toothpick through the celery.

Of course, they were able to eat it right after they made it and Chase and Cody said it tasted very good!

I think it's a very cute craft and wanted everyone to see it!

Mommy and Me / Makes My Monday

This weekend we played a lot in our new flat back yard! We also worked a little in our backyard. We planted one of the banks with ground cover. We need to go and get more and some other taller plants, but it's a work in progress.

I don't think you can see the actual little plants here but this is the bank we are planting.

We stayed home all day on Sunday and we played. The boys rode their quads up and down the jump as they call it. Which I don't think I have any of. Picture opportunity next time the boys are riding!

The boys played in the dirt and was making mud balls.

Chase so proudly showing off his mud balls! He likes to roll the dirt around and then put them in the sun to dry.

We also played softball, will actually it's just me throwing the ball, them batting and they running to go it the ball.

Cody action shot of him batting. He was doing really good today and not getting as flustered if he didn't hit the ball. He hit it a few times and really enjoyed himself. Chase is a good batter and can connect with the ball most of the time (as long as mom throws it right!)

Chase took this picture of Cody and I playing. It's not the greatest picture, very far away looking but it's still Cody and I!

All of the special time this weekend with my boys really made it a good weekend! I had even a chance to start to read a new book! My new book is the 3rd series of the Manning Series: The Manning Grooms. I have enjoyed it so far and can't wait to read it more!

Friday Fun

I haven't played along in a while with Carrie at Candid Carrie for ...

And playing along for the first time at

On Monday, the boys and I went to visit my grandma. We were inside talking and the boys were outside, I thought playing with some tools... but instead they were getting muddy. It was a warmer day here, and not too cold, so I just let them get muddy.

I had feared some type of dirtiness would come out of going to grandma's, so I had extra clothes on hand for them, just forgot the shoes. So I had them take off their shoes and socks, by then they were so muddy, that they socks were thrown away, and I gave the shoes a bath. The boys continued on splashing in the mud.

Cody really liked the mud and splashing and running his fingers through it, making mud pies for everyone. He played in the mud a long time. He finally ended up taking off his pants and running around in just his underwear for about 5 minutes, until he had just about enough mud and I gave him a rinse off int he garage sink. Thank goodness, they didn't get it into their hair!

Chase on the other hand, got muddy but didn't like being wet. Said the mud and water were cold and he wanted to change and get cleaned up. He liked it at first but liked being clean also. They both were so happy that they were able to get dirty and muddy without me being upset about it. Boys will be boys and I figured one morning fun it's not going to hurt them.

Two for Twos-day

Since my Uncle Steve has been here fixing up and remodeling my grandma's house and bathroom, we have gone to Home Depot a few times. Chase and Cody think this is a pretty fun shopping trip because of the cool baskets with steering wheels. Also they drive and make sure that I am not going to run into anything while I am pushing the cart!

But the other day my Uncle had a big type push cart and they rode underneath the wood that he needed... which leads to my Two for Tuesday picture...
They thought this was so much fun! I made sure that all hands and feet were up before my uncle pushed it.

Two for Twos-day

Chase and Cody from Pop's party this weekend. We were outside wearing off some energy before the sun went down. I just wish that they both would look at the camera at the same time. Cody was saying "Cheese" but then looking away! Oh well, still a sweet picture that proves that Chase really loves Cody!

Play along also with Debi by posting your picture with your two-some in it!

Makes My Monday

What Makes My Monday today is seeing my boys playing in the dirt and getting all dirty!

Chase and Cody found this pile of dirt a few weeks back in the back yard and have been playing in it all the time!
Chase at the top. The dirt is a white powder dirt... On Your Mark, GO!
Still sliding down... With clumps of what looks like rocks but are only dirt clods.
And a trick at the bottom! This dirt has kept the boys occupied for the last week!
Cody going down the hill on his belly!
It even kept the neighbors kids, Grace and Spencer, occupied on Friday when they came over to play in the dirt with Chase and Cody. The three boys had races on who climbed the fastest and who slide down the fastest. Most of the time when they slide down it looked something like this...One big clump of dirt.
They are differently dirty after playing in the dirt and it's fair share has made it into my house for me to clean, but it's worth it just to keep them occupied and outside! Outside in January, how awesome!
Now hoping this wonderful dirt will still be as wonderful after our 7" of rain this week.
