Bronsen's 5th Birthday

Bronsen turned 5 today! (I am just now posting the pictures from it and going to try to catch up on my blog posts).

His birthday party was held at the local bike park.
Oh what fun it was! The weather was quite warm that day and the kids had to have long sleeve shirts, pants and full face helmets to ride their bikes.
Both Chase and Cody still have training wheels on thier two wheel bikes, but we took those out there and they rode.

Cody loved it and everytime we go by the bike park now he wants to go back. He rode the last two jumps and did very good after he got used to it. Chase did better sitting and playing with some of Bronsen;s new presents and stuff on the sidelines.
It was a great birthday party, with pizza and birthday cake!
Happy Birthday Bronsen!

Bike Riding and Bar Hoping

We were kidless this last weekend, the boys went with their grandparents for the night. Steve and I joined up with a bunch of friends Saturday for my cousin, Daniel's birthday.
We did this last year and wanted to do it again. This year we didn't get a room so I was the sober driver for 3 people.
So off we go to our first bar and our first drink...

The girls of the party! We had a great time. One of the many buckets of beers that was consumed throughout the night and evening.

The birthday boy, Daniel and two friends having a great time!

Fun times dancing and carry on!!

Last year I took pictures of the signs of all the bars we went to but apparently I didn't do that this year. I am kind of bummed i didn't because I have no clue where we went to party! I know one of the stops was PB Bar and Grill and we also went to the wavehouse.
Can't wait until next year's birthday to do it all again!

Family Picnic

Today we went to the park with some of my grandma's niece and nephews. This is the family that I grew up with. Spending Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter with this side of the family was a bunch of fun. It seemed like after I got married and had the boys, everyone was way busy with their own lives and we never saw each other. Chase and Cody had family here locally that they hadn't really met. I knew that I had a cousin, Pam, that was here vising and really wanted to see her and wanted my grandma to see her. My Uncle was also in town visiting, so I arranged a little family picnic today when everyone could make it.

We had a wonderful time for a few hours talking and thinking about good times. Here are some pictures:

My Grandma, Pam (my grandma's great niece) and Sonny (my grandma's nephew)

Nadine and Adam (My grandma's great great niece, and great great great nephew)

Iva, (grandma's niece) grandma, Chase and Cody

Chase and Cody hanging out!

Pam, Tami and my grandma (sisters and both great nieces)
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being with with other!

Makes My Monday

What a great weekend we had celebrating Pop's 80th birthday! We had a great party for Pop on Saturday with 55 of his closest friends and family.

The party had a western theme to it. The centerpiece's for the tables were upside down cowboy hats with different potted flowers in them with pictures of Pop on sticks. It turned out to be the perfect touch of color we needed in the room.

The food we had worked on for a couple of days turned out wonderfully! These were just the appetizers. The party was catered BBQ style with Ham, BBQ Beef, Homemade Potato Salad and Macaroni Salad, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, and bread.

Of course, the party is not complete until you get to eat the birthday cake! Here is Tatum eating her piece of birthday cake.
We also went to another birthday party on Sunday for Braden who turned 3!

Chase and Cody had a great time playing with the other kids and Bronsen and Braden toys! We had Spaghetti for dinner and it was delicious!

Two for Twos-day

Today is Tuesday and of course, I am presenting my Two for Twos-day picture!

My Aunt Kathy bought Chase and Cody these Mickey Mouse Christmas Jammie's! They love them. They couldn't wait to wear them and want to wear them every night!
Everything Mickey Mouse goes in our house right now and Aunt Kathy did good with these. They will wear them for Christmas Eve to get a good night sleep for Santa!

One of the many out takes of pictures that we took just to get a some what decent picture of Mickey Mouse Jammie's!
Thank you Aunt Kathy for making our night times so much more comfy.

Makes My Monday

We spent great quality time this weekend with my Steve's family. Steve brother's family, Daniel, Shannon and Tatum came for the weekend and stayed at Steve's parents house. The guys mainly worked on Daniel and Shannon's new Rhino that they are putting together for the desert.
Grandma with Chase, Tatum and Cody

That just means that us girls and the kids had a lot of fun. On Saturday morning, we tried to attend our first Pumpkin Hunt, but the place was crowded. More people showed up then they had pumpkins. So we left and went to the pumpkin patch. The kids really had a good time!

Shannon with Chase, Tatum and Cody.

At the pumpkin patch we rode the little choo choo train, did the obstacle course, and the giant slide.
Chase and Cody checking out the sheep in the petting zoo.

My boys love the giant slide. So much that I actually looked up on the Internet thinking maybe that is good Christmas present for them. They can be bought and really not that expensive, but don't think I want this huge slide in my backyard!

Of course, we had to get huge pumpkins and the wagon ride out to the car. This wagon was so heave to push and pull, we were thinking we must have been weak or something, and the weather was only 90 degrees on blacktop. But Cody kept saying it was tickling his butt and laughing, well he was stilling on the tire in the back so the wagon wouldn't go. So funny we started laughing!

It seemed like there was always food around also. We did a little bit of shopping but for the most part we hung out with family. Chase, Cody and Tatum played together so well. Cody started to cry on Saturday night when he had to leave Tatum but was sleep not a mile down the road.

Stop by Cheryl's and see what else Makes our Monday's!

Comparison Picture

I came across this picture of my cousins Amy's girls and my boys almost exactly a year ago. So I thought I would compare the two pictures to see how much everyone had grown.

Flying Kites

The weather was perfect for flying kites while at our cousins house this weekend. Chase and Cody had never flown a kite before. I had bought some $1 kites for some entertainment.
Kylie did very well flying her kite and had it very high in the sky for a long time.
Chase even flew the kite for a little while.
Cody checking out the Dora kite, not sure about it.
I know that Jacob had fun trying to keep 4 kites up in the air at once!!

Weekend with family

We traveled to Southern Arizona last weekend to spend a couple of days with my cousin and her family. Amy and Jacob have three girls and Chase and Cody played with them so well. We were sad to go on Sunday evening but had to start the long drive back home.

While we were there we had a little Christmas in March. We hadn't gotten together yet for Christmas present exchanging. Chase and Cody made out by getting Play-d'oh, Crayola Color Wonder books, and the Bristo Griddle.

Thanks Jacob, Amy, Kylie, Allyson, and Brynnah for the great time. Can't wait to see you guys again soon.

Weekend Update

We had a wonderful weekend. The highlight of our weekend was a Braden's

2nd birthday party. We had a lot of fun!

Cody being shy right after getting to the party.

Chase eyeing the cheese balls.

All the Chase and Cody's friends were their. They saw a clown for the first time, Frannie the Clown.
What a great clown she was. She did face and arm painting, bubbles, and balloon animals

Chase got alligators on both arms. Frannie the clown did the first one in green and he said he wanted a black alligator.

Chase styling his new hat.
Cody and his new balloon friend.
We had a pinata also. Chase hit the pinata but Cody wouldn't take a swing at it. We had cake and ice cream and sang happy birthday!
