Potty Training Update

Cody's Potty Training Update

*I am up to my ears in poop here people.
He does not get it that it goes in the toilet. He will tell you where it goes, but then he continue to go in his underwear. He only poops at home in his underwear. He doesn't go poop anywhere else, well I take that back he has gone in his underwear at grandma's also. But never in the toilet.
*I have heard that they do it on their own time, but now it's my time.
*He goes every night just about the same time, at a time right after dinner, when I am not paying much attention to him as I am cleaning up the kitchen from dinner.
*On Monday I set my timer for 6:30 around the time he normally goes and no he went early at 5:30pm.
*On Tuesday again, I talk to him every few minutes "Let's go Potty." just to remind him about the whole process. I took him also a few times and he never went last night at all.
*So we will see what happens tonight.

Makes My Monday

We had a busy weekend. Friday even we went to a friends house for delicious pork ribs. They were so good, and so lucky we were able to have dinner with them and thier family! Chase and Cody even got swim a little- they were thrilled about that!

Saturday was Steve's company picinic with was about 2 hours away in Long Beach. We had a great time. Weather turned out perfect. The boys played in the sand, had cotton candy, and snow cones. So of course it was a great day for them! I was able to meet a lot of people that Steve works with and everyone is just so nice!

Saturday night, we took the boys and met some other friends at the local speedway races. Steve wanted to check out his compatition for his race car. But also we watched our friends 13 year old son win his race! Cole is a diffently a great race car driver and has a wonderful future in front of him. He started on the pole and never let anyone pass him!

Bad picture of the cars that Steve will be racing in.
Chase watching intensly the race cars!
On Sunday, Steve and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary!! I attended a baby shower for a cousin. She is having a boy after having 3 girls (1 set of twins)!! She received many cute brown and blue clothes!! Steve kept the boys and they played in the garage and washed the yellow jeep. Getting it ready of desert season!!
Being it was such a busy weekend, really Makes My Monday!!

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

Apparently, my husband and father-in-law now own's a race car. My husband thinks that he is going to drive this race car. Not too far away from our house we have a dirt 1/4 mile race track, and he is going to be a race car driver.

We took ownership of this above race car today. I guess it is a good deal for the price that we paid and can easily sell it for way more than we bought it for, according to my race car driving husband.

So this is what is finishing up our day. Tomorrow night we will go and watch the races to see what we are up against. For not we have a race car. Oh the boys, think this is coolest thing ever and is telling everyone that they know!

Play along with your picture that finishes off your week!

Dentist Visit

Just to update on Cody's tooth we went for a follow up appointment this morning.

The tooth has seemed to lightened up in color and the doctor agreed to that. They did another x-ray which Cody really didn't like but suffered through it.

The results showed that the root still hasn't been affected and at this point the tooth will go to be abscessed eventually. That could be in a couple of months or a couple of years. The tooth will get loose or will eventually have to be taken out.

The good news is that it is no way right now affecting his permanent tooth. The only way this will affect the adult tooth is if the abscessed tooth does not get fixed.

We will go back to the regular cleaning schedule and just keep an eye on that tooth!

I'm back!!

I obviously needed a break from my blog...but I missed checking in with everyone. So I am making my comeback! Did anyone miss me?
My cousin, Amy, and I finally finished our race (which she won) to make it to level 34 in Farmtown. For two weeks I was consistly on Facebook farmtown planting raspberries. She won by about a hour. I have to say that once you challange my cousin to a race, she puts all effort into it. It was fun and can't wait to do it again!

I feel super old since my birthday on Friday. We camped at the Thunderboat Races all weekend and had a blast. I celebrated my birthday with good friends, cake and presents!!

Camping at the Thunderboat Races has been a annaul thing we have done for about 5 years. We have prime camping spot right on Mission Bay with the weather as beautiful as it has been here, we had a great weekend.

Chase and Cody spent a lot of time playing with good friends, riding bikes, and playing in the sand.

Cody riding around the circle.

Of course, there was also "fixing" of bikes going on.

A lot of good times and can't wait to do it again next year!

Happy Birthday to Me

Yes, I am old today!

We are camping this weekend, here locally in San Diego. Should be a great time!!

I also wanted to wish my birthday pal, Kylie, a Happy 7th Birthday also!!

She is my cousin's oldest girl and was born on my birthday, she is so very special!!
That year,2002, on my birthday was also the year that Steve and I got engaged.

I have been absent and not giving much love to my blog lately and most important all my blogging friends. You see, the Facebook Farmtown game, my cousin and I have a little race to see who can get to the finish faster going on. So that is taking up all my time. For the last two weeks, I have seen nothing but fields and fields of raspberries. And for anyone who plays Farmtown, you know that raspberries will harvest the quickest and get you higher in xp points. So after this next week, (I hope) I should be back to my regularly scheduled bloggy updates and comments.

Backwards

It seems like Cody has a special way of dressing himself. On school mornings, I normally pick out a shirt and shorts that match and then he can get dressed himself with a little direction from me.
Now on days we are just hanging around the house I let him pick out and get dressed in what he wants to. When he is finished 90% of the time his clothes are on backwards!

This shirt is always warn backwards. He thinks that the printing needs to go into the back. He told me that "This is how daddy wears his shirts and I am big like daddy." His shorts are on backwards also in this picture.

His whole outfit is on backwards again. Yes, I admit that this shirt is a little harder to tell front from back because it is stripped on both side.

So last week, he wears a shirt to school backwards, and the teacher asks me if he was planning on joining the 4 year old that turn their shirts around. Well, I said I didn't know anything about the 4 year olds that turn their shirts around, so apparently their are 4 year olds, after they get dropped off at school turn their shirts around to be in a "group". They think it is cool to wear their shirts backwards, maybe Cody does also!

Way Back Whensday / Say What Wednesday

Missy at Two Little Monkey's has us telling what funny things that our children say!

So this week Steve truck wouldn't start and it needed to be towed to the repair shop. The boys and I waited for the tow truck so Steve could go to work (in the jeep). Cody offered up his suggestion on to why dad's truck was broken. He said "I think dad needs to put fuel in it." Chase also offered up his repair suggestion by finding two old washers on the ground in the school pakring lot and saying "Maybe these fell off daddy's truck and he needs them to fix it." He the put them in his pocket.

I am sure there are many other stories and funny saying, I need to write this stuff down to remember it!

Muffin Tin Monday, Magic Marker Monday

I was so excited to see the theme for Muffin Tin Monday - Apples. I looked up ideas and put a bunch of thought into this. Here is the finished product.

Clockwise: Applesauce, dried apples, sliced red apples, Carmel, peanut butter, chocolate sprinkles, sliced apples, and in the middle grilled cheese, apple sandwich.

Here are the boys eating some of their lunch. The sandwich was good, but they didn't touch it. Cody really liked the apples dipped in peanut butter with the sprinkles. Chase liked the applesauce. They didn't eat much of it actually because we ate outside and their were too many distractions for them not to eat. Oh well, it was fun thinking and making it!

Can't wait for another theme next week. I really like this idea, it gives me a chance to think of new foods to present to Chase and Cody and it is fun. You should play along also! Click the cute box to do that!

========================================

I also wanted to do a craft that would go along with the apple idea, on my favorite craft blog, No Time for Flash Cards, I found the cutest apple tree that Chase and Cody put together.

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

Last night was Orientation Night at school, a night of meeting new teachers, going into new classrooms and meeting new classmates. Before all that happened I wanted to take a few pictures of my pre-preschoolers.

We had arrived early to our orientation by 30 minutes, so we had some time to waste. The boys rolled around on the grass.

And was able to run away from me and my camera.

So after some energy was let out and the running became quiet talking while inside the church and listening for your name to be called to be released to go into your new classroom. Chase and Cody's new teacher, Miss Sarah, was young, hip teacher. She is very outgoing and informative.

Chase and Cody will have 6 other kids in their class, (that might change later as school gets started), 5 girls and 3 boys. 5 of the kids are kids that were in the same class last year.

Chase and Cody and myself is looking forward to a wonderful school year, with many things planned. A lot of learning and growing will be done this year as in the year that has past.

This is what is making my Friday a Foto Finish Friday, what is making your Friday good?

I Won the Coolest Toy

A couple of weeks ago I entered a giveaway at Cheryl's Twinfatuation by submitting a comment and I won this cool farm by Woody Click.

It was sitting on our doorstep when we came home on Monday and needing something to keep the boys entertained for a few while I unpacked. I knew that this would do the trick. But I didn't know that they would still want to play with it 3 days later also!

We won the farm set and it has a bunch of pieces. Chase and Cody were so excited to open this when they say the pigs and sheep they were even more excited.
The cool thing about this is like it was designed for twins in mind because it has about 4 of each thing but everything has at least one thing of it (except for the farm house). So there is no fighting over the pieces. They really like the tractors and wheelbarrows.

It comes in a nice wood storage box also. Everything fits in the box with a lid and handles. This is not something I would have bought on my own because you never know if they will play with it, but now I have seen that they like it I am looking into getting them one of the other sets from this company.
Thanks Cheryl for offering such a cool and great giveaway!

Chase and Cody said some funny things in the last week so I wanted to tell you them before I forgot and I am also playing along with Missy at Two Little Monkeys

This last weekend we went to the river and huge rain, wind, lighting and thunder all around us. We were on the boat heading home, the rain was pouring down on us, Cody and Chase sitting next to me under towels. Cody told me that he wanted to get out and walk. No sorry can't really walk right now. Chase was asleep the whole time.

Yesterday picking up Chase and Cody from school, Cody tells me that someday he will buy me flowers. I told him that that would be very sweet - thank you and I can't wait until that day. (it was a very sweet moment between Cody and I) :) Chase said that that he would buy me a pig. Thanks Son.

Can anyone tell me how I get my font bigger on the words over there ---->

Muffin Tin Monday, Makes My Monday and Winner

We are back from our wonderful trip this weekend. Since it is Monday already, again I wanted to post my normal Monday goodness!! Michelle over at Her Cup Overflowth host Muffin Tin Monday. I love doing this every weekend with the boys. Cody was even asking about it tonight for dinner he wanted a "special meal in little cups." I really wasn't prepared tonight just getting back home but we will be doing this again! But this week was a non-themed week, so I fixed the boys lunch on Friday with just their normal lunch.

They had cheese, cheese puffs, watermelon, raisins, fruit gummy's, and turkey. They ate most of it and loved the idea!!

We had a great time this weekend with family at the river. He is some proof of the swimming that we did.

Cody absolutely loved the water and everything about it. From being pushed into the water, splashed, going under he always had a smile on his face and ready for more.
Chase also loved the water, but was more content to walk in it or play in the mud. He didn't want to be splashed around or really go underneath the water. He still had a good time.

I will be telling stories of good times for the rest of the week and sharing pictures from the weekend! But for now this is what Made my Monday!!

Check in with Cheryl to see what other made other's people's Monday's

And now onto what most people have been waiting for -----
