Santiago Twin Girls

Santiago Twin Girls: "

1. Plan dinner for Christmas Eve and Christmas. If it's possible buy the necessary food for both days. I don't have too cook anything either day, but need to be ready to go out of town with food on Sunday. So I will start planning my menu's and food- Thanks for the reminder!

2.Finish purchasing (clothes and gifts) and wrap the gifts (you will not want to spend Christmas Eve packing gifts while other are partying). - I am doing pretty good on this. Still have a few more things to get and have just about everything that I have purchased wrapped!

3. Try to maintain all clean and organized (this is a requirement). Do not forget that in this season there are people that visits without notice. - Yes, my house is still clean!

4. Finish the details for Christmas Eve and Christmas. - check!

Very simple tasks that will permit us to be relaxed for the holidays"

This really has made my Christmas season less stressful! I was always somewhat organized but now very organzied! Looking forward to a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Santiago Twin Girls

Okay Anne is putting me right back on track with this list of assignments for this week!

Santiago Twin Girls: "Now let's see what is next for this week:

1. Finish purchasing clothes for the Christmas holidays. If you already bought everything you needs start organizing the clothes, shoes and accessories that you will use. - I think we have everything here we need. Just bought the boys two nw shirts to wear for thier Christmas performance at school and can rewear these shirts for Christmas!

2. Send the Christmas postcards. - All my Christmas cards, 60 of them, were sent on Wednesday. I order 20 more just to have on hand.

3. Try to finalize the purchases during this week or the next one. - I am done with all my shopping except for about 3 people.

4. If you plans on sending some Christmas gifts do it now so it will arrive on time. - I will send my gifts tomorrow for my side of the family. Getting together the last minute things for another shipment hopefully on Monday.

5. Keep the house clean (this is an obligatory requirement after so much effort and dedication). - Yes doing a good job at that!

Up to now we have invested a lot of effort to manage to enjoy our Christmas holidays without 'stress'."

I can't wait until the next round of things to do. I still have one more christmas craft to get the items for and complete. This really has made me more organized and seems like the holidays are going smoothly!

Christmas Agenda

It's been a couple of weeks but I think these were the task that I was suppose to get accomplished in the last couple of weeks...Annie I'm I correct?

Santiago Twin Girls: "After so much work, this week will be more relaxed. The fundamental thing is not to be overwhelmed with work so you'll be able to enjoy thanksgiving Day.

1. Keep the house clean (we have invested a lot of time and effort and we do not want that to be thrown away). - This is getting easier now that I am not working. My motorhome is also clean for the next desert trip the day after Christmas.

2. Bake cupcakes or prepare some dessert for the thanksgiving supper. - Didn't have to do any type of dessert for Thanksgiving. But doing Christmas cookies (the 1st part) this weekend.

3. Finish the Christmas decorations and turn on the Christmas lights during this week. Our outside lights are turned on as of Saturday night. They look awesome! Nothing else has been accomplished yet, but working on that today and tomorrow.

4. It prepare and fill the Christmas cards. - Ordered Christmas cards, just waiting for them in the mail and then address them.

5. Dedicate some time on yourself. You can have a manicure and pedicure (you can do it yourself), blow dry your hair, have a bath with warm water and bubbles (this will relax you), in short, anything to eliminate of your body the 'stress'." - Okay, not sure if I have time to do this but will try!!

Thanks Anne- I am quite prepared for this holiday season! I love doing this a little each week. I have a bunch of Christmas shopping completed, but still need to think of what to get and get that item for about 5 people.

Can't wait for next weeks assignment!

Christmas Agenda

Lets see what I got accomplished on my to do list this week. Anne is helping me organize my Christmas Holiday!

1.Finish purchasing all related to the thanksgiving Day (even if it is not in your house you should bring something to the place where you will meet) so buy it this week. - I am going shopping today for some food and Monday for the rest of the food.

2. Cleaning - we will have various aspects to work: A. Keep the areas completed clean and organize. B. Clean the windows at least on the inside. C. Clean the main entrance of your house (it is very unpleasant to find the front of a house dirty) and the terrace. - Completed

3. Organization: If you have not yet given away the things that were discarded before is time to donate them (we need that everything looks impeccable) - Completed

4. Begin decorating your house - already we have worked enough so is time to place our decorations and to start to feel the Christmas spirit. Do not forget to play Christmas music to get you on the mood. - This is still a Little early for me to decorate. I will start when we get back from our Thanksgiving trip!

5. Optional: But if you have some walls that you wish to change the color to give a sense of renewal, the time is now.. - No I am not a painter!!

Very, Very fun!!

I also have my Christmas cards on standby on Snapfish just have to order them which I will beginning of next week. I am working on one craft project and it's coming along quite well (towels). I have two other crafts projects in my head that I need to go and take a look at the supplies and see if I am going to do them, and get started if I am. I need to find a weekend to bake cookies and goodies in December. Still need to do some more shopping. But I think have a lot of it under control!

Christmas Agenda

On my Christmas Agenda activity that I have been working on with Anne at Santiago Twin Girls this is what I should have accomplished this week...

1. Plans for the thanksgiving food (check if it will be at your house or asks what you have to bring if it is in some other place). I am preparing my list of food menu today. We go to the desert for the whole weekend from Tuesday to Sunday so I need to plan all our food and list of things for the motorhome.

2. Keep your house clean and organized (especially the areas that have been already cleaned). That is getting easier to do now that I am not working during the day.

3. Cleaning and Organization: For this week we will have various works of cleaning but, do not get discourage they are small. We will work with the closet, the refrigerator, the baths and guest room. Okay so I cleaned out the refrigerator and the bathrooms. I didn't get to the guest room, but that is a project in itself, that I would like to turn into a playroom. So that will have to wait until after Christmas. It is still usable as a guest room and nice. I have my hall closet that I started working on to organize but didn't get it quite completed, that is a work in progress! So I might have failed on some of this task! Sorry Anne - obviously I am not a good student!

4. Continue purchasing gifts and clothes for the Christmas activities. Purchased a few more gifts for people but also have been working towards the towel gifts I am doing. So we are going in the correct direction!

Can't wait for this weeks tasks to do. I love getting ready for this holiday!

Christmas Agenda

Anne has me started on the right track with getting organized with my Christmas stuff! I didn't post last Thursday about my to do list and Anne had her computer go down on her, but she is back up and running (and didn't loose any of her pictures- yay!!)

So anyways, last week I needed to write down the people to buy gift for; book appointments for stuff like hair, nails; I am not hosting anything at my house this year; I cleaned and organized the kitchen and kids room. Well, not really but they are both as organized as I can have them until I want to spend more money on either one and don't want to do that right now :)

So the tasks for this week are:

1. Start searching for handicrafts that need to be done for Christmas (can include cookies)
- I have bought one project for the kids to do for presents (Handprint Santa)
- Cookies for neighbors (still need a date to do this, and the ingredients)
- Towels for gifts (still need the towels and material to do this)
- I am sure there are more gifts that I plan on doing and will continue to add to this list
-Finish calendar
- Buy the photo's and frames for pictures

2. Start getting your addresses ready for Christmas cards and selecting them.
- Took the family photo's for the Christmas card this last weekend.
- Will order Christmas cards in a couple of weeks

3. Start buying materials that you need to wrap gifts when you go to the store or the mall (like tape, gift wrapping paper, gift tags)
-I have started buy gifts everytime I go somewhere and see something that I think someone will like.
-Still need to get the tape, gift paper...that stuff is just coming into the stores this week. I will start purchasing it.

4. Organize family room and closet (or walkways or hallways)
-My family room is as organized as I can have it right now. For Christmas I am asking Santa for a bookshelf for the boys books, that will help a lot and maybe a toy box and then that will help also. For now I think it is as good as it gets. We clean up nightly and put away toys. Anything that the boys haven't played with for a while I will go through and throw away after Christmas.
-My linen closets could use some help, but again I am asking for some organzation tools from santa for this. I need some photo boxes to help in the organization of old photo's. I think for now it is good!

Christmas Agenda

Okay back to getting organized for Christmas. Anne's assignment for this last week was:

1. Establish a budget for the Christmas purchases. Complete!

2. Check the decorations that you have and if they are in good conditions (remember to write it in the corresponding section of your agenda). Do the list of what you need to buy. Complete!

3. We will begin the cleaning and organization: first will be the master bedroom and closet.

Okay I knew that my closet really needed to be organized.

Before:

There were a lot of clothes laying on the bottom of the closet floor behind the door that needed to be taken to a donation place. I donated 3 black trash bags full of clothing.

After:

Okay the picture's don't really show how much space is there now, but a lot of space and organization took place in that closet. It looks beautiful now!
