Makes My Monday

You know what Makes my Monday this week?

Living in a city that we can go to the beach, when it's going to be 110 degree's at your house. The weather was absolutely beautiful at the beach. We live about 45 minutes away from the beach but so worth the drive, but everything is 45 minutes away.

On Friday, I loaded my grandma, Chase, Cody and Tyler (my nephew) in the car and Steve grandparents, Grammy and Pop, met us at the beach. We had a lovely time!

My grandma and pop sitting and watching the boys play in the water and the sand.

Chase and Cody playing in the water.

Grammy pulling Chase on the boogie board.

Chase having fun in the water. The water was a little colder than I had hoped it would be. I wasn't able to go past my waist, and the boys really didn't spend much time in the water itself. Just a bunch of time playing with sand and sand castles.

We all had a great time, got everyone out of the house, the bay was not crowded at all, maybe 3 other families on this beach the whole time we were there.

On Sunday, we went to the Del mar Race Track with Steve's Mom and Dennis to see the horse's run. This was my first time in a couple of years. We had a good time. Chase and Cody watched about 3 races and picked a couple they thought would win, but didn't. We went down to the paddock area and watched the horse's there and also to the infield and played in the jumpy and the slide with Tyler and Christina. They had a good time and I was able to keep them occupied enough to enjoy myself also!

Muffin Tin Monday

Today's theme over at Michelle's for Muffin Tin Monday is Circus! We did this on Saturday and boys had fun. It was a very hot day and I wanted to be inside most of the hot part of the day so I served them a circus lunch.

I served it in my new cup holders from Kayce. Clockwise: hot dogs and cheese skewers, cheese skewers, plain hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, and the middle circus cookies.

Later that afternoon, still staying out of the heat, I had made cupcakes so I gave the boys stuff to decorate them to make them look like a clown.

Top Row: Jelly beans, blue sprinkles, green frosting, raisins. Middle Row: Fruit gummy's, M&M's, chocolate chips, red frosting. Bottom Row: Ice cream cone (for hat), blue frosting, sprinkles, yo go balls.

Six Word Saturday

Describe your life or something in your life in 6 words on this Saturday. Love doing this meme I think about it all week on what is happening this week in my life and condense it down to 6 words. This week I have two.

The phase of Monsters and Dinosaurs
So when the boys pretend play, it seems like there is always a monster or dinosaur somewhere in the play. So fun.

Muffin Tin Swap

I received my Muffin Tin Swap box a couple of days ago in the mail! I was so excited to open it to see what I had received from Kayce, my swap partner. Kayce is a very creative person with a boy and a girl. Some of her Muffin Tin Monday lunches are so cute and cleaver that I wish I could eat them! I am glad that she is already using the stuff that I sent to her on the swap!

Now on to what I received - I am so excited - Can't you tell?

I got ice cream sandwich molds in a shape of cow, pig and star! I think this weekend I will try and make ice cream sandwiches with this. It is going to be a hot weekend so ice cream is very much needed. Also received the cutest toothpicks, and stabber things - Chase and Cody will love having food - like cheese stuck on there! The cupcakes molds are perfect to serve the boys next lunch in!! I can't say how much I love my box of goodies!
Thank you Kayce!! And thank you Michelle for hosting such a great swap!

Way Back When-sday

Cheryl is asking us today what memories make your mid-week wonderful?

As I was browsing through pictures I see this one of the boys 3 years ago, almost to the day. Oh how I wish they were little again, but they are not so I have pictures to look back at it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I took Cody and Chase to the dentist yesterday for a cleaning. Cody got a little upset going into the back, but was fine by the time he was picking out a toy (30 seconds later). They both did good getting a cleaning with a toothbrush and a quick check with the dentist. Chase chipped tooth has healed according to the dentist and there is no problems. It hasn't affected him at all.
Cody's front tooth that is now getting darker in color (almost dark gray at the top), the dentist says the the root still is not affected and we will watch it for another month and then decide on what to do. I am still against doing a root canal, but don't want it to affect his permanent tooth. So we will wait and see what the tooth does.

Makes My Monday

Chicapolooza: A party that I attended with some great girl friends, that included shopping, massages, manicures, drinking, eating and gossiping. What more could a chic want? What a great Saturday I had.

A couple of girlfrineds put together this wonderful party and we all brought our food and drinks to share. No guys allowed and no children allowed. I actaully had a few conversations without having to say wait I have to go and attend to this child. The drinking was very fun also! They had the backyard set up perfectly for fun and shade. We could decorate the ez ups if we wanted to. I sat in the Hawaiian themed Ez-up. It turned out very cute!
We all plan on doing this again next year.
Spending 24 hours with grandma, grandpa and cousin Tatum, Cody and Chase spent

about 2 1/2 hours on the couch like these pictures. Sleeping. Cody and Chase had so much fun as they always do at grandma and grandpa's that they didn't want to come home with me but they did!

They swam in the spa, played with squirt bottles and water, played diner with Tatum and served her food and water, they helped grandpa in the garage with his project, they were busy and had to sleep it off.
So having some time to myself and the boys have a great time, tottally Makes My Monday.
You know what else makes my Monday is that Steve came home last night from being gone since Tuesday.

Muffin Tin Monday / Magic Marker Monday

There are so many things on Monday that I want to participate in so this week I am combining the two meme's. But they really have nothing to do with each other!

I will start with Muffin Tin Monday

This is the actual first time that I have participated in Muffin Tin Monday! I have been reading and getting ideas from Michelle for a few weeks now, so I thought I would try it and see what happens. You ask what is a muffin tin Monday? It's pretty simple: a meal (most often for kids) in a muffin tin! And just to be clear: There is no wrong way to make a muffin tin meal.

My only problem is that I only have 12 cup muffin tins and couldn't come up with enough stuff to put in 12 cups, but found this spiderman tray that I used instead. It worked out good enough for my first time! This week theme is People and Faces. I did more faces with food and had a great time creating it also.
Top row: Ranch dip (with carrots for eyes, black olives for smiling mouth), smiling ketsup, chicken nuggets. Bottom row: Macaroni and Cheese with hot dogs placed perfectly for a smiling face.
Chase starting to eat his wonderful dinner!

Cody picking at dinner!

This was so much fun and I can't wait until this week to try it again!

Magic Marker Monday

I love this because I get to share with you some of the boys artwork that they have made at school. Last week at school the theme was circus so of course they made clowns!! Such a cute idea, so clever!

Baby Picture Sunday

The theme this week at Debi - Who Says 8 is Enough is Fruit and Veggies

After looking for pictures of the boys and fruit or veggies I came across these wonderful pictures.

Chase eating Carrots for the first time

Cody eating Carrots for the first time.
6 months old!
I love looking back at old pictures and then having a theme to look for certain pictures is a bunch of fun! Join us and have just as much fun!
I have came to the conclusion that during the first 6 months or so of the boys existence I thought I was taking a lot of pictures of them, but now looking back it seems like I could of (should have) taken more. I barely had any of them eating, I guess just getting them fed was a chore in itself let alone trying to take a picture of it! I will cherish the pictures I have just that much more!

Cody on the ride in "It's a small world" They had fun on that ride!

Me and Cody on the Autotopia car ride. He was a little upset through this that he couldn't ride dad because Chase wanted to ride with him. Chase had a great time and actually drove the car. They both really liked the drivers license they received to be able to drive as they put it "Anything in the whole place."

Chase a little scared in the rivers ride with the elephants and hippo's on the boat - can't remember the name of that ride(The Jungle Cruise - thanks Nancy). He still had a good time! Cody was "shooting" at the animals!

The classic picture of us with Mickey Mouse!

We finished off our day with the best ice cream and watching the main street parade!
