Happy Thanksgiving

"Thanksgiving Feasting
When the Halloween pumpkins are gone,
And the leaves have all fallen to ground,
When the air has turned windy and cold,
Then Thanksgiving will soon be around.
Thoughts of loved ones all feasting together,
Pleasant pictures from past times appear
To dwell in each heart and each mind--
Then Thanksgiving is finally here!
The kitchen has scrumptious aromas,
The dining room looks oh, so fine,
Decorations with pilgrims and turkeys,
And now we are ready to dine!
First the napkins are placed on our laps;
Now the prayer for the meal to be blessed,
Then we stuff the good food in our tummies,
And we hope for it all to digest!

Christmas Agenda
1.Finish purchasing all related to the thanksgiving Day (even if it is not in your house you should bring something to the place where you will meet) so buy it this week. - I am going shopping today for some food and Monday for the rest of the food.
2. Cleaning - we will have various aspects to work: A. Keep the areas completed clean and organize. B. Clean the windows at least on the inside. C. Clean the main entrance of your house (it is very unpleasant to find the front of a house dirty) and the terrace. - Completed
3. Organization: If you have not yet given away the things that were discarded before is time to donate them (we need that everything looks impeccable) - Completed
4. Begin decorating your house - already we have worked enough so is time to place our decorations and to start to feel the Christmas spirit. Do not forget to play Christmas music to get you on the mood. - This is still a Little early for me to decorate. I will start when we get back from our Thanksgiving trip!
5. Optional: But if you have some walls that you wish to change the color to give a sense of renewal, the time is now.. - No I am not a painter!!
Very, Very fun!!
I also have my Christmas cards on standby on Snapfish just have to order them which I will beginning of next week. I am working on one craft project and it's coming along quite well (towels). I have two other crafts projects in my head that I need to go and take a look at the supplies and see if I am going to do them, and get started if I am. I need to find a weekend to bake cookies and goodies in December. Still need to do some more shopping. But I think have a lot of it under control!

Christmas Agenda
1. Plans for the thanksgiving food (check if it will be at your house or asks what you have to bring if it is in some other place). I am preparing my list of food menu today. We go to the desert for the whole weekend from Tuesday to Sunday so I need to plan all our food and list of things for the motorhome.
2. Keep your house clean and organized (especially the areas that have been already cleaned). That is getting easier to do now that I am not working during the day.
3. Cleaning and Organization: For this week we will have various works of cleaning but, do not get discourage they are small. We will work with the closet, the refrigerator, the baths and guest room. Okay so I cleaned out the refrigerator and the bathrooms. I didn't get to the guest room, but that is a project in itself, that I would like to turn into a playroom. So that will have to wait until after Christmas. It is still usable as a guest room and nice. I have my hall closet that I started working on to organize but didn't get it quite completed, that is a work in progress! So I might have failed on some of this task! Sorry Anne - obviously I am not a good student!
4. Continue purchasing gifts and clothes for the Christmas activities. Purchased a few more gifts for people but also have been working towards the towel gifts I am doing. So we are going in the correct direction!
Can't wait for this weeks tasks to do. I love getting ready for this holiday!

Random Tuesday Thoughts
I am no longer employed. I was laid off due to lack of work at a job that I have been at for 8+ years.
Now what do I do with my time?
How does anyone organize your kids art stuff? Like glue, scissors, coloring books, markers... Do your kids have access to that stuff all the time whenever they want to use it? Or are they put on a high shelf that when you give it to them they can use it? Just trying to get a feel on this type of stuff and how to organize.
Sorry I haven't commented on your blogs like I normally do. I was gone this weekend and would have normally caught up on it yesterday, but I was let go yesterday and was lost so I couldn't comment. I will catch up today.
Speaking of this weekend, had a great time! Chase is feeling better, thank you for the well wishes for him.
I got a jury duty letter in the mail yesterday also...yesterday just wasn't a good day.

Happy Friday
I have one child (Chase) who woke up at midnight with a 99.9 fever. Medicine is bringing it down and hopefully it will break soon!
I think I might have another child (Cody) that is coming down with it also! He is very lazy and no ambition which just isn't Cody.
We are planning on going camping at the desert this weekend. So maybe dad might be going by himself!
Wish us a speedy recovery!

Christmas Agenda
So anyways, last week I needed to write down the people to buy gift for; book appointments for stuff like hair, nails; I am not hosting anything at my house this year; I cleaned and organized the kitchen and kids room. Well, not really but they are both as organized as I can have them until I want to spend more money on either one and don't want to do that right now :)
So the tasks for this week are:
1. Start searching for handicrafts that need to be done for Christmas (can include cookies)
- I have bought one project for the kids to do for presents (Handprint Santa)
- Cookies for neighbors (still need a date to do this, and the ingredients)
- Towels for gifts (still need the towels and material to do this)
- I am sure there are more gifts that I plan on doing and will continue to add to this list
-Finish calendar
- Buy the photo's and frames for pictures
2. Start getting your addresses ready for Christmas cards and selecting them.
- Took the family photo's for the Christmas card this last weekend.
- Will order Christmas cards in a couple of weeks
3. Start buying materials that you need to wrap gifts when you go to the store or the mall (like tape, gift wrapping paper, gift tags)
-I have started buy gifts everytime I go somewhere and see something that I think someone will like.
-Still need to get the tape, gift paper...that stuff is just coming into the stores this week. I will start purchasing it.
4. Organize family room and closet (or walkways or hallways)
-My family room is as organized as I can have it right now. For Christmas I am asking Santa for a bookshelf for the boys books, that will help a lot and maybe a toy box and then that will help also. For now I think it is as good as it gets. We clean up nightly and put away toys. Anything that the boys haven't played with for a while I will go through and throw away after Christmas.
-My linen closets could use some help, but again I am asking for some organzation tools from santa for this. I need some photo boxes to help in the organization of old photo's. I think for now it is good!
Chase and Cody Singing
This is a song that they have learnt at school and they sing it at home. I just captured it on tape so I can use it against them when they become professional singers!!

Random Dozen
This is my first time playing along but I have been visiting Linda's blog 2nd Cup of Coffee for a little while now and she is funny and has a great writing style. She posts a dozen questions for her audience and you are to answer them, I thought I would play along!
1. It's early morning, about 2:00 am and you're driving home. You come to a red light and sit there. There is no one in sight for miles around. Do you wait it out or run the light?
I sit there and wait until my turn I am defiantly not one to break the law!
2. If you had the chance to re-do the last 24 hours, would you change anything?
Maybe instead of telling Cody to wait a minute while I wash dishes just sit down on the couch with him. I could wash the dishes after he went to bed, but just can't leave a kitchen messy
3. When you reply to someones comment on your blog, do you reply in your comments or go to her blog and comment?
I go to that persons blog and comment. Most of the time people don't go back and look for answers to the questions they have posted in comments.
4. Your favorite Disney movie is: Cars
5. Do you recycle? Yes, just because the trash company gave us a trash can though and it's easy to throw the recycle stuff in one and the trash in another.
6. Games of strategy or games of chance? Games of Strategy
7. Do you have any recurring dreams? No.
8. What did you learn from your first real job?
That if you work your butt off you can achieve recognition.
9. Do you buy or borrow most books? Depends on the type of book, but probably buy.
10. What fashion trend of the past did you say you'd never wear again but did?
I don't know. I am not a fashionable type person, so I am always a few years behind on clothes.
11. When do you start Christmas shopping? Already have about 3 weeks ago. Feels good!
12. Have you ever been so happy that you literally jumped up and down for a few seconds? If so, what was the occasion? I was very excited that I jumped up and down when Cody just recently pooped in the potty!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

*Today my Christmas lights are being put up on my house. Yes, I have to pay someone to put up million of little lights on the eve's of my house. I love the look of the lights and always have my whole life and my husband doesn't do that type of physical labor.
*I have most of my shredding project done. My filing cabinet is feeling a huge relief from it too. The documents that I must keep according to the IRS, is now neatly stored in my organized garage.
*I still have about 5 unfinished projects to work on.
Two for Tuesday

I took this Friday morning. Cody just waking up and Chase had been awake for 30 minutes.
