Sleeping Night #5-7

Again, this is just to track that progress that we a making in sleeping through the night without waking up mom!

The last few nights, neither one sleeps all night. They want me to come into their bed now and cuddle with them. They wake up so wet that I have to change their pull-ups and jammies and sheets at night. They wake up between 2-5am. Saturday night they were both awake at the same time between 2-3am. Just wanted to cuddle and be awake.

Last night, Chase woke up just enough to be awake and for me to sit beside him for him to go back to sleep. Cody also woke up but he actually made himself go back to sleep and then he rolled off the bed and fell asleep on the floor the rest of the night!

I still think this is better for them to sleep in there own beds and wake me up then them in our bed.

Happy Mother's Day

This day is very bittersweet for me. I lost my mom 9 years ago and I wish she was here with me everyday since then. So I found this poem and I am going to dedicate it to her:

MOTHER’S DAY by Del "Abe" Jones
Another year without Mom
And She’s surely missed, a lot
The years pass to ease the pain
Plus, memories of Her, I’ve got.
There’s no time like the present
To tell your Mother, "You're the best!"
For, too soon, before you know it
She too, may be laid to Rest.
Time is not a friend to us
Or to those Moms, we Love
And, it’s so hard to speak to them
When, they’re somewhere up above.
So, this Mother’s Day, take some time
To reflect, tell Mom, “I love you!”
For some day, She won’t be there
To do what, only Moms can do.
Don’t wait until it’s too late
For, you know, we never know
When She might be taken from us
Then, it’s too late, to tell Her so.
Today, I am spending it with family, my grandmother (which is like a mother to me), my mother-in-law (which is the greatest mother-in-law that I could ask for) and the most wonderful Grammy! We will be having brunch with good food and lots to drink!
Here's to you having a great Mother's Day!

Today

After we came home from visiting grandma and running a few errands, the boys wanted to play in the water. It was 95 degree's outside so the weather was perfect. They were all excited to put there swimsuits on. If I had a swimming pool, they could have gone into that but we don't have one yet for this summer so the sand/water table will have to do.
They got tired of the water and dumped the water out of the table and of course that made mud in our back yard. So they played in mud for another hour.

Chase with mud on the side of his face.

Playing in the mud - the stuff that little boys do best!!

Writer's Workshop: #5

Over at Mama's Losin' It...They host a Writer's Workshop and I thought that I could write something this week. I am not a good writer, never have been, but I will give it a try this week.

She gives you five different options to write about and you choose one (or more) and then you link back to her...go here to check out the other options.

But I have chosen #5: Time for a trip? Where are you headed this summer?...Or where would you go if you COULD.

Since we are a camping family we are going to the Grand Canyon over Memorial Day Weekend. We have reservations at a campground and we are bringing the Rhino's, I can not wait. The campground has a lake not too far away that the boys can learn to fish in, and then we will be a train ride (about 45 minutes) from the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon has been one of the places that "I Must Visit before I Die Place". It will be about a 8 hour motor home ride for us but that will be okay...we can do it.

The other place that I would like to go is to the Sequoia National Park. Maybe that can also be a place that we can visit this summer.
