Memorial Day Camping

This last weekend we went camping at Rancho California RV Resort. The most perfect camping place that we have around here. It is only about an hour drive from us...so beautiful!!
We went with The Greens, and The Morgans, we had a total of 6 kids under the age of 4 1/2. Everyone got along perfect with no problems. It made for a very relaxing weekend with some great friends.
One of the major reasons behind this great campground is the green grass for ever. It is so pretty coming from someone that can't keep grass growing in her yard. We played a bunch of kickball and golf on this great grass. Ran around and burnt a lot of energy!
We also rode our bikes up and down the street right in front of our motorhomes. The kids did a wonderful job of pulling over to the side when a golf cart or other people on bikes would get close.
We also rode our bikes around the campground a few times during the long weekend. It was a great way to spend the weekend!

Of course, we blow'd bubbles, colored, and ate!! We had a great weekend and can't wait to go back again!!

Seaworld with School

We had our first field trip with school...Seaworld!! We had a blast! Chase and Cody loved it being with their favorite friends and I love the price to get into Seaworld. We had to pay $8 per person. Wow, what a great price to see a beautiful place!

Chase and Cody being goofy and posing for some pictures!

Ms. Sarah and some of her class. We saw some cool things while we were there. The best part was the polar bears. They were very active and fun to watch in the new exhibit!

Chase, Cody and their best bud, Jacob. They are like 3 peas in a pod and get along very well together!

The 4 boys in the class with 6 girls!

Chase, Alyssa and Cody. Alyssa is one of Chase and Cody's "girlfriends". Alyssa told her mom the morning of Seaworld as she was getting dressed that she was going to marry Chase today at Seaworld. They were throughout the day caught holding hands, by the end of the day she was also holding Cody's hand!

Muffin Tin Monday

This weeks theme for Muffin Tin Monday is:

Springtime Mini Series:
Seeds, Plants and Flowers
In our Spiderman trays I put (left to right):
Top: "dirt" made from chocolate shredded wheat and pumpkin seeds buried in the dirt,
flower cheddar cheese, flower made from ranch dip and wheat thins.

The bottom flower in made with a cream cheese and cucumber sandwich, green beans as the stem of the flower and the dirt is chocolate covered pretzel's.

I really had fun doing this theme!! The boys didn't have much fun eating it though...

Makes My Monday - Mommy & Me

I bought these garden's in a box at Home Depot a few weeks ago thinking that the boys would have a bunch of fun watching their plants grow into food. They are doing this at school also with some herbs.
We had some time on Saturday morning and I brought this out to do with them. They had so much fun.
We put water in the pots to let the dirt get soft.

Then we put the green bean seeds and watermelon seeds into the correct pots. They then covered the seeds with the dirt. We watered them again and put them into the sunlight for the green house to work.

I sure hope we get green beans and watermelon out of them.

Spending time with the boys makes my Monday!!

Makes My Monday / Mommy and Me

We had one busy weekend. We started Saturday morning, with a carnival at boys school/church. It was a fundraiser/open house for the church.
What fun we had. Chase and Cody's best friend, Jacob, was there also. They jumped in the bouce house for a long time and boy did they have fun. I captured a few cute picture also...
Cody
Chase
They also had a lot of fun games, including miniture golf, fishing, duck races with plastic ducks, ring toss, bean bag toss and a few more. The boys were really enjoying themselves. The music was a little loud...but it was a fun time.
They won a bunch of prizes, ate cotton candy (something I don't ever let them do),and have a sucker within an hour of each other!!
After we left the carnival we went to get some lunch and head over the the Jr. Fair auction in Lakeside. We have visited every year and every year it is great. The kids put on a wonderful show and auction. Cousin Tatum was at the fair also and the boys were so excited!
We alwyas buy at least a steer for butchering and sometimes a pig. This year we thought we would do something different and buy a smaller steer and raise it for about 10 months and then butcher it. So we actually ended up with two steers...this one above renamed Goose. And the one below named Maverick. Goose will be with us only a short time about 2 months we are estimating...Maverick more like 10 months to a year.

Chase and Cody are already feeding it and wanting to take care of it. We are not allowed to have live stock animals at our house, so we are keeping it at a good friends house and she is helping take care of it for us also.
After all this excitement we had Peyton's birthday party to go to in the late afternoon. We stayed at the Green's house until 8pm.
Like I said, we were very busy all of this in just one day...but it all totally Makes My Monday. I love having a lot of things to do!
============================================
I didn't do a very good job this weekend at taking pictures of the boys and I ... (I am very upset with myself that I didn't)...
But I had this one for a couple of weekes ago...

Vegetable Cars

Back in March, the letter of the week was V. Chase and Cody's teacher, Miss Sarah, thought of a cute way to incorporate vegetables into the cooking session on that Wednesday.
She gave everyone a piece of celery, some cream cheese, raisins, carrots cut into circles, and toothpicks. She had everyone assemble the cars. Chase and Cody had so much fun doing this. I guess the only part that they needed help doing was putting the toothpick through the celery.

Of course, they were able to eat it right after they made it and Chase and Cody said it tasted very good!

I think it's a very cute craft and wanted everyone to see it!

Way Back When-sday

Looking back through the years and years of pictures finding that perfect picture that captures my heart this morning. I love going back and finding younger pictures of the boys.

This morning I found pictures from when they were just over 2 years old playing outside in perfect weather.

Cody playing peek-a-boo - looking through the hole in the play structure.

Two for Tuesday

It seems like the moment my camera appears out for me to take picture of Chase and Cody being funny...these little boys come out instead to be goofy in front of the camera. I can't tell you how many pictures I have like this...
Eye's closed and even putting their hand's on their eyes. Nice boys thanks! That is a picture that I want to hang on my wall!
Why can't they just open their eye's, how cute of a picture that would of been with his favorite dinosaurs!
Or I get a whole bunch like this...one completely hiding and the other trying to smile but just hadn't gotten there yet when I snap the picture. But with all the bizarre picture above, I normally can get one of them smiling and a keeper picture like this one of Chase...
So it's worth all the pictures that I take.

They also gave me a cup of flowers! They are very pretty and sitting on my window seal in the kitchen! We will transfer them into a bigger pot outside after I get one at the store. I can't wait to watch them grow!
