Two for Tuesday & School Update

Playing along Debi's Two - for - Tuesday (Well, Debi's hosting it right now for Deanna)

This is Chase and Cody two weekend's ago when their grandparents took them to the river without mom and dad. They are walking along the bench on the front porch of our river house. I guess they thought this was a lot of fun, because they did it a lot that weekend! I just glad neither one of them fell off...(Oh was that the mom in me talking??)

Also in some other news, Chase has now moved up to another class, Mrs Lori's classroom. Mrs Lori is the Kindergarten teacher during the regular school year, that is teaching this years summer school program. She seems like a very great teacher, very informative and helpful. Cody is not far behind him in moving up, if he keeps up the good work in potty training. Right now in the fall, they are scheduled to go to Mrs Sara's classroom. Chase and Cody can't wait to go her classroom, they already talk about what fun it will be!

Makes My Monday

This weeks Makes My Monday is -

Cody went #1 potty all weekend in the toilet!!

This is a huge step for him. We have been trying and trying to get it to click - even with Chase fully potty trained it didn't matter to Cody. I don't know what happened but it clicked and I started to jump up and down and the more I jumped up and down the more #1 he went. It was a great weekend!

And that's what makes my Monday!!

Friday Fun!

For today's fun Grandma and I took Chase and Cody at UCSD Birch Aquarium in La Jolla.

We also met a Chase and Cody's friend from school, Alissa and her mom Lori.
Sitting in front of the Aquarium at the big water fountain.
We started off looking at all kinds of fish. And they kept looking back at us also! Cody stared at this fish for a while.
Of course, we had to see a Dori looking fish, the kids really thought this was funny!
Chase was holding a lobster (it's not real!)
Looking happy and very well behaved!
We had a lot of fun in the educational section of the Birch Aquarium also. There is a lot of buttons to do and a lot of room for three 3 years old to run around and act silly. We even saw some sharks that again was staring at Cody and Chase. They would swim really close to their heads, they enjoyed that! We even had lunch in the courtyard.
We left from the aquarium and also departed from Alissa and her mom and we went to see if we could find some famous seals. I had never been to the La Jolla Cove or the Children's pool to see seals and I wanted to check it out. We found a parking spot very close for two tired boys to look over the railing to see a few seals out on a rock in the pacific ocean minding there own business. There were a lot of birds also on this rock. But there were no seals inside the children pool area for us to look at.
Still, the boys had fun looking at the water and the people in the water. The weather was beautiful also, not really sunny but not cold and that is good for me at the ocean!
Once we were back in the car, the boys were asleep in about 10 minutes for the hour ride home. All in all it was a lovely day and we all had fun!

Tagged

I was "tagged" by Amy and Diana over at

The rules:
1) go to your photo files.
2) Open the 6th folder.
3) Pick the 6th photo.
4) Write a story about the picture.
5) Tag six people
This picture was taken at our niece's 1st birthday party. Chase and Cody would have just turned 2. These red balloons were tired up around the birthday site, but of course, they needed a balloon. So they ran with the balloons on the green grass. They had a lot of fun with those balloons!

I tag the first 6 people that want to play along.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Steve!

Thanks for being a great dad!

Thanks for all the fun stuff you teach us!

Today, we are having Chase and Cody's Grandpa and Grandma and Cousin Christina up for some lunch to celebrate the day.
Chase helped me pick out our menu. Steve asked his what he wanted to at for lunch (tomorrow) with Steak (we are actually having Tri-Tip, but to him it's Steak)...
Chase's reply: Salad, then after thinking again said applesauce, we asked him anything else he said Gatoraide, of course we need something to drink, and then he said Corn. I told him that he had just completed my menu for lunch - we are also having this really delicious chocolate cake.

Chase's Morning

We had a difficult morning this morning.

Upon waking Chase up to go to school - I found this monster in his bed instead. Nothing made this monster happy. Didn't want to go to get dressed (flopping all over the floor and crying). I didn't even mention brushing his teeth because that on a good morning will set him into hysterics (I have pictures on that also I will post sometime.)

He was just upset at everything. I apparently didn't put the right socks on him either. Everything made him upset.

Even on the way to school, he got up set at me when his favorite song hadn't come on the radio yet, like I have power over XM!

But as we pulled up to school, this is what I found when I opened up the door to get him out!

I had found my happy Chase and not the monster I had left at home!

Bike Ride and Bar Hopping

We were kidless this last weekend, the boys went with their grandparents for two nights. Steve and I joined up with a bunch of friends Saturday for my cousin, Daniel's birthday.
We all checked in to the Bahia Hotel where we were going to stayed the night
and started out on our bike ride

This picture was hard to take riding my bike, trying to keep up and not crash my bike, or crash into someone else walking on the boardwalk.

Riding along the boardwalk along side the Pacific Ocean.

We get to our first stop we eat and drink, we stay there for about an hour. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The view from the bar.

Picture of our bikes locked up at our first stop.

We rode inland a couple of blocks and stopped here for a drink

and the guys played Foosball

Our third stop was here

We some great drinks and some food in here. According to most everyone in our group and by now there was 9 or 10 couples with us, they sushi was very good.

We rode toward to pacific ocean and saw more beautiful scenery like this

Our fourth stop was

Right on the boardwalk. A low key bar with some good drinks. We were able to watch people and the sunset. Which resulted in these group pictures:

>
And this beautiful Pacific Ocean Picture. This picture says it all about our beautiful city.

Our last stop would be here

On our way we say two guys playing with fire
We ended up eating again at World Famous, the Prime Rib Bites are so good! All the food there was very good, probably because by then we had been drinking since about 12:30pm.

We rode back to the hotel and had one last drink to celebrate a birthday and some good friends, we also ate Mexican food because what's a night our without Mexican Food!
