Christmas Morning

Both of the boys were in our bed Christmas Morning, when they woke up, Steve asked them, What is today? And Chase responded Christmas. Steve asked what happens on Christmas? And Cody responded "Well it didn't snow." Well yeah Cody, we kind of live in a place that doesn't get snow any time of the year and not on Christmas!
Chase also said Santa comes, but still didn't quite get what Santa would bring. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted, of course. Chase was the first one up too see our tree and the presents under it.
We opened our stockings, and found toothbrushes, candy and socks. Chase and Cody got some play musical instruments.
We got ready to go to Steve's parents house for Christmas morning and Christmas dinner. Here is their tree when we walked in.
Big quads and big dinosaurs were the main focus here. The boys were so excited!!

After dinner at around 2pm, we came home and the boys were able to open more Santa gifts. They were kind of out of the mood by then and really just wanted to play with the wrapped boxes and stack them here and there. They opened a few and one of their favorites was their guitars.

Yes, Santa brought them play guitars, but he didn't manufacturer them very well and they have already started to fall apart. They haven't put these guitars down since they opened them. So, I think mom well have to find some better made guitars for these two.

They are dancing and singing the everyone, including their big dinosaurs. I need to get it on video.

The boys never finished opening packages on Christmas, they were still way to busy playing with there guitars to continue, so the opening went well into Saturday. Makes Christmas fun to spread it out over a few days!

I love your blog...we got our girls guitars for Christmas also. Last year we got them each one and they loved them so much but didn't really know how to take care of them, so they have not made it to this year. We thought they would be a little more responsible at 6 yrs old with guitars and have proved to be so far!
I love them and love to hear them play...it is so much fun!
Happy New year to you and your family!

Well how fun is that???? A Christmas that lasts longer than one day. I think that's a fantastic idea and it helps the kids not get overwhelmed.

that was neat Monica that you let them space out the gifts and didn't make them open all of them on Christmas day. How cute with the guitars! I see a potential future career for these two :)
