Going into this both of them said that they would talk to Santa, not sit on his lap. But they really do any talking either.
Mrs. Clause, Santa and Cody. Cody loved Santa's bells, but wouldn't talk to him and kept running away with the bells.
Chase finally did give Santa knuckles, but he wouldn't talk either. And no way sitting on his lap!
I sat down in front of Santa thinking that they would also but they wouldn't even do that. We eat a candy cane and tried again but they would only wave from a distance that time. 
We were one of the first people there to see Santa and I think that the man was just very intimidating without more kids around to copy. We have seen Santa other places since then, like the mall, but I ask them do you want to go and see Santa again and they both say No!
So maybe next year! Well see!

how cute! it is hard to warm up to the jolly old fellow, isn't it? My son only did when he was Cody/Chase's age because his older sister, who was an old pro with Santa, was comfortable around him so he was fine with going and getting his picture taken
there is always next year! a year can change a lot with their way of thinking!
